It has been my great priviledge to have been the pastor at Evangelical and Reformed Church since August of 2004.
The old Church building was a wondrous thing. I especially loved the stained glass windows. The earliest windows in the old sanctuary dated from the first World War. The one in the lower right part of this message was just so glorious, welcoming and warm. All the windows gave one a real sense of belonging--a place apart. On Sunday mornings when the sun was shining, the window on the east side of the building was marvelously ablaze. One of our Sunday School kids said when coming forward for the Children's Sermon looked at the window and said, "Look! fire!"
These windows are now gone as a result of the fire of December 4th 2005. We are now three years into a new building and it is a lovely and gracious space.
Our offices have been been returned to 413 Wisconsin Avenue. Our main entrance is on the south side of the building.
Our main worship hour is at our new/old address, from 9 to 10 each Sunday morning.
We have Bible Studies on Tuesdays at 1:30 and on Wednesdays at 7:00.
